Galveston Island tourism to “rock” in May
When I moved from Michigan last June to take a job in Galveston, I was pleasantly surprised with what I saw on this beautiful historic island. The remnants of Hurricane Ike weren’t obvious from my view and it wasn’t until I was told what “used to be there” and “used to be here” that I began to see how serious of a storm it had been. However, it was those “before Ike” tours of the island that made me so excited because I couldn’t believe how quickly this little island had picked up the piece.
