Galvestonians had another reason to celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year — RumShack, the fifth Island Famous venue at The Spot, celebrated its grand opening the evening of May 5. Hundreds attended the party and enjoyed the sounds of mariachis and local band The Line Up as they sampled RumShack’s specialty rums and tropical drinks.
Situated on the rooftop of fellow Island Famous venue Tiki Bar, RumShack is a Caribbean-themed bar with a distinctive palapa roof and spectacular beachfront views. Keeping with a tradition that earned Island Famous its reputation, RumShack offers signature drinks alongside delicious appetizers.
